hi guys! today i'll be showing you how to make a mandala tapestry, kind of inspired by the ones you see on urban outfitters, and pinterest, and stuff like that. and i'm also collabing with rymingtahn today, and she's going to be making a couple of urban outfitters/pinterest inspired diy decor, on her channel so i'll show you a little bit of what you can expect here:

"hey everyone, i'm rymingtahn." "today i'm going to share four pinterest inspired diy projects" "come on over to my channel and check out the full video" "i hope to see you there" her video will be linked up in the cards, as well as in the description box, so make sure to check that out as soon as you finish this one anyway, let's get started you'll need a white bedsheet...

protip: these are really cheap at thrift stores and begin by folding it in half, and then in half again. the inside corner will mark the centre. place a pin there, and then tie a piece of string around the pin. and this will ensure that you can tie it to a pen, and trace perfect circles. if you're a perfectionist, like me, you can use a tape measure instead of a string i'm using a special pen,

that's light blue and it washes out really easily. next, begin sketching out the designs you want. then take a piping bag with a small tip, and mix up flour paste. i found that the best ratio was 1 1/4 cups of flour to 1 cup of water. mix that together really well so that there aren't any lumps. and then put it into the piping bag, and begin piping your designs.

i found it was best to work in small batches, because it dries quite quickly, and it's good to have a little bit of time between batches to fix up any rough edges. and i actually found that a bobby pin was the most useful, for fixing up weird edges. also, if you're working inside, lay down a plastic tablecloth or something underneath, because the flour paste will soak through.

this is what it looks like when it's dry. and it will probably take 12-24 hours to dry completely. when it's ready, mix one part fabric paint to five parts water in a spray bottle then begin spraying the liquid fabric paint mixture all over your tapestry you can use as many colours as you want,

and do different patterns, or gradients. i just decided to do a mixture of blue and purple. once the paint has completely dried, you can peel off the flour paste really easily and then you're left with this beautiful design thanks for watching, make sure to check out rymingtahn's video, if you haven't already. again, it's linked up in the cards,

and in the description box below. if you'd like to follow me on instagram, my username is @natashar0se with a zero again, it's linked in the description box, like everything else is i hope you guys have a wonderful day, and i'll see you in my next video. bye!
